BIO

Shara was born & raised in Richmond, Virginia. Her lifelong love for the ocean and its inhabitants took her on a journey as a Veterinary Nurse in aquariums and hospitals for the first 20 years of her adult life.

The tides changed and she and her husband moved back to VA to start a new chapter. She graduated from the VA School of Massage in 2017 and has since received special training and certifications in Manual Lymphatic Drainage and Biodynamic CranioSacral Therapy. Shara believes the healing powers of touch and intention works wonders on the body's natural healing abilities. She uses her hands intuitively to listen to the tissues, muscles and joints to assess and treat the problematic areas.

The Healing Powers of Touch

Touch stimulates the pressure receptors in the skin and it lowers our stress hormones. Pulses of Oxytocin (feel good hormone) occur, levels of anxiety decrease, Cortisol (stress hormone) levels decrease, pain is decreased, and our perception of wellbeing increases. By treating our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual body with respect, our gratitude for life becomes more abundant.

Surrender is the simple but profound wisdom of yielding to rather than opposing the flow of life.
